About Craig Cravens

Craig CravensDr. Craig Cravens has been teaching Czech language and culture for over 10 years at the University of Texas at Austin, where he holds the position of Senior Lecturer and Founder of the North American Cimrman Association.   In 2006 he published the widely ignored The Culture and Customs of the Czech Republic.

The Austrian Cimrmanologist Dr. Erich Fiedler has described it as a “vade mecum for all those tourists swarming the Charles Bridge and Prague brothels.”

He has a PhD in Slavic languages and literature from Princeton University (1998) and a BA from Amherst College in Russian literature (1992).
